Re: Dockside Village, Planned Unit Development (§§ 1641 and 1602), parcels 05-07-530-013-00, -014-00 and -015-00. Public hearing November 4, 2026.

To the Forest Home Township Planning Commission:

I oppose approving Dockside Village as presented. The ordinance requires findings that the site be served adequately by water and sewage facilities (§ 1602.A(d)) and that the environment be preserved (§ 1602.A(g)) — but the project’s shared sewage system has no state permit (EGLE application HQN-8FKV-VNJY4, in process since May 2026), and the submission’s own sewage design allocates 98.5% of the plant’s capacity to the restaurant, the watersports business, and the BaseCamp development, with nothing allocated to the five units or the new commercial spaces it asks you to approve. The submission also states the treatment facility is ‘separately permitted and approved’ by EGLE — the state’s public record shows otherwise — and its ownership statement omits the adjoining BaseCamp phase that § 1641.D requires be disclosed. I ask the Commission to verify these points on the record, postpone its decision until the state permit issues and the entire project is disclosed — or deny the request if those findings cannot be made.

Please enter this letter into the record of the November 4 hearing.

Sincerely,

Signature
